What would you do when you're asked to renounce your faith in exchange for freedom?
Is not this like bribing you money?
What can you say about celibacy?
Issues has been raised about celibacy from the beginning of time until now. Some people even researched on this matter and it needn't be proven because priests are solely for God. No marriage could own them; otherwise, they have to leave priesthood if celibacy couldn't hold them strong.
Family, friends, and community will be present to support celibacy and make them grounded on the Catholic Church fulfilling a vocation for God and people.
"Black Death" is a movie to watch for those who are serious with faith. Aside from the religious - this movie caters to everyone, those who can stand firm in Jesus Christ since all are God's children. How long can each of us endure with a God we do not see in the face of death?
Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, and Carice Van Houten star in this movie.
Here's an excerpt from the movie: "In medieval England fallen under the shadow of the Black Death, a young monk called Osmund is charged in leading a fearsome knight. Ulric and his group of mercenaries trek to a remote marsh. Their quest is to hunt down a necromancer - someone able to bring the dead back to life. Torn between his love of God and the love of a young woman, Osmund discovers the necromancer, a mysterious beauty called "Langiva." After Langiva reveals her evil identity and offers Osmund his heart's desire, the horror of his real journey begins."
An idea in "Black Death" is strong will holding on to a vocation whether you are a knight, a father of a family, or any worker in an area of life. Some will be called and chosen to lead others to a faith that gathers everyone and lead lives of truth and charity.
Sainthood could not be for all, but at least, remembering battles and how each one ekes out with life secretly mark a pact with God giving a real purpose to a point we all stand now.
How brave can you be and how long can you endure with those who need your help? Can you shout "I love my God!" and never be ashamed or afraid of being unpopular? Many would shrug shoulders or give you a grin, maybe point you worthless - if you follow. And how long can you say "Yes, I will follow. I will never renounce my faith."
