The Vialta Beamer, or the "Vialta BM-TV Dual Beamer Phone Video Station" (quite a mouthful) is a rather neat little gadget, or so it describes itself to be.
What this enables you to do is to view anyone who's calling you either through a corded or cordless landline on your T.V. This is great for anyone with relatives abroad who are fed up with Internet video calls which are often delayed, unclear and break up.
The way it works is that each of you has a Vialta Beamer which sits on top of the T.V in a special slim case.
How is it connected?:

a) Plug your phone into the Beamer
b) Plug the Beamer TV into your T.V's RCA video jack
c) Connect the Beamer TV to your wall phone jack
d) Plug in the Beamer TV's power adapter.

Negatives:
Some people have found that they don't always connect like it states and the picture quality isn't what Vialta report it to be. The set up is a little intricate for some so you may come to or have a different conclusion. Should these take your fancy however, for around $50 they're quite a sweet present.
