Purse Hooks Make Great Fashion Accessories

Purse hooks are important accessories. They save handbags from being dumped on the floor, or from being hung on the back of the chair where they could be stolen. A study was made regarding purse hooks and handbags. The hooks are definitely in, and its obvious by how much of these are produced everyday. Not only that, they also come in so many designs that one will easily get confused on which one to choose. We did a little research online, and found some really pretty hooks. Here are some of them.

BLACK CROSS MARCASITE BAG HOOK WITH POUCH

This is such a pretty purse hook. The base is made with a black cross design, with a silver hook. It also comes with a small carrying pouch so that the purse hanger is safe even when not in use. I imagine my Grandma loving this, and I'd probably buy one for her this Christmas.

METALLIC PRINT PURSE HANGER WITH PINK RIBBON DESIGN

The iconic pink ribbon is the international design for breast cancer awareness. Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of womens death everywhere, and going through it is not easy. Thanks to technology, the fatal rate due to breast cancer is slowly decreasing. This purse hanger would make a great gift to a friend or a relative who just went through chemo, or maybe for a group of women helping other women go through the cancer. For $13.95, giving this purse hanger as a gift is a great way of letting a friend know that you care.

SILVER UNIKITE FLOWER PURSE HANGER

Most purse hangers are made with an engraved or a printed circular base. It is quite difficult to look for another design, which is why we were delighted when we saw this online. This purse hanger's base was shaped to look like a flower, and has glass stones and Swarovski crystals on it. It also comes with a draw- string bag, and would definitely make a very good gift.

Great Music Reviews

It's not easy finding good music reviews nowadays, especially with the proliferation of blogs and websites where anyone who is anyone can pipe up with their two cents worth of knowledge about whatever they want to say about the latest Ting Tings B-side...however, you should not give up hope. There are still great music reviews out there, you just have to search a little harder to find them, among the ether of sub-standard sites and webpages.

The best thing to do is to rely on word of mouth advice from people who you trust and once you find a site that delivers top quality reviews, stick with it! Pick your genre and search the web for reviews in artists in that genre, then just spend a few hours comparing and contrasting the various writing styles until you find one that you like! Of course, if you find one that you like straight away, then count your lucky stars and stick with that one...

Everybody likes different styles of music, but what the great thing is about the various sites that showcase music reviews is that you can be persuaded to listen to new material by the power of the reviewer's writing; you never know, you may discover a whole new style of music for you to explore and enjoy, just by reading a short, glowing review!

So, go and check out all the sites that the World Wide Web has to offer and when you have found one that you like, don't desert it, either keep retuning to it or sign up to its mailing list...have fun!

Holiday Food Gifts Are A Great Choice

Holiday food gifts have become a popular item to give at Christmas time. Many times, we don't know the people we are giving gifts to that well, as in the case of a co-worker, boss, postal worker, or hair stylist. It is difficult to choose gifts in those situations because we are not that familiar with their taste and what they like.

That is why holiday food gifts make the ideal choice. Everyone likes food! Yet, around the holidays many people are short on time, and the time they do have is being spent running around buying the gifts they need to give out.

Food is always welcomed and appreciated. It can be shared with family and friends, and it saves them time in preparing the food.

Cookies are always a hit, the most popular ones being cut-outs and bar cookies. Fudge is also a favorite at this time of the year. These can either be homemade or purchased - all are good.

We always receive a cheese ball and crackers from a neighbor and we love it. It's something we wouldn't go out and buy for ourselves, but we sure enjoy it when it's there. Little gifts like that can mean so much.

If you want to make it extra special, you can put it in a gift basket and present it like that. Add in some gourmet snacks and you have a wonderful gift.

Chocolates are also high on everyone's list as great gifts they would like to receive. Gourmet chocolates in a pretty mug or basket will "sweeten" anyone's holiday.

Breads are also make nice gifts. You can make or purchase ones like banana, cranberry, or apple bread. Yum!

When giving food, so much of it depends on the presentation. A plate of cookies is nice, but when you dress them up with some pretty plastic wrap and ribbon, it becomes a gift. Put them in a basket with a pretty cloth underneath and it will make it that much more special.

Holiday food gifts are the perfect choice when you don't know what else to give. Give a gift that everyone will enjoy!

Two Great Country Songs You Should Consider and Own!

The other day I found myself running out to buy a couple of country songs for my motor home travels. I was looking for something inspirational, motivational, and something that spoke to the heart, maybe I am getting soft in my middle age; no, not! But nevertheless, I decided on two songs I've heard before often enough on the radio. They are songs by two of my favorite female country singer vocalists, although I've never been to either of their concerts.

The songs I chose and I am glad I did were;

"I Take My Chances," by Mary-Chapin Carpenter"I Hope You Dance," by Lee Ann Womack

And while I was at it I bought both of their latest CDs. Excellent choice, and if you are going on a road trip this summer, I highly recommend both of these artists, as they really have put a tremendous amount of effort into their songs, all of them, especially these two. Not only are the songs, great but they make you think, make you feel, and inspire you to be your best.

It is not often that such songs come across this strongly, but I'd say these do, and this is why I recommend them to you too. Not only are these artists great at their craft, they both do a ton of good in their nonprofit assistance, bringing awareness to various important causes. You see, they seem to follow and live their lyrics. They are just flat great human beings. We should be rewarding great country singers like this.

We should be listening to their words to better ourselves and thus, better the world we live in, and we should follow, as they are leading by example and take their own lyrics to heart. Please consider this when you go out to by your favorite music this summer.
